To welcome an abundant and promising “Year of the Fire Monkey” in the Chinese Lunar Calendar, Iloilo Business Park held a festive Chinese New Year celebration at IBP Sales and Information Center on February 9, 2016, 7PM. The event is spearheaded by Iloilo Chinese Filipino Cultural Association, Inc. (ICFCA) and Iloilo Business Park. ICFCA Chairman Ramon Cua Locsin shared his welcome message and Iloilo Business Park’s Vice President for Sales and Marketing, Jennifer Ann Palmares-Fong gave her inspiring message. The celebration was filled with spectacular presentations from different Chinese schools in the city including Sun Yat Sen High School with their “Flower Dance,” Huasiong College of Iloilo’s mesmerizing “Goddess of Mercy” and “Peacock Dance,” Ateneo de Iloilo’s “Fan and Umbrella Dance,” and the celebration was capped with a stunning fireworks display. IBP VP for Sales and Marketing, Jennifer Ann Palmares-Fong, Iloilo Chinese-Filipino Cultural Association Chairman Ramon Cua Locsin, 1st Vice Chairman Robert Po and 2nd Vice Chaiman Francis Sio had a photo opt with the performers. For a second year in a row, Iloilo Business Park celebrated the Chinese New Year to establish strong ties with the Chinese-Filipino community in Iloilo City, pursuing progress, as well as prosperity and harmony.
